After over a year of interviewing and searching for the perfect, passionate individual to take on this exciting opportunity, we are thrilled to welcome Simangele Madiba as our first Darling Day Mom! 

 

Simangele’s passion for children is clearly evident.  Her eyes light up when she talks of her experiences with the little ones.  She brings with her a wealth of knowledge, certified training and most importantly , solid
experience with children of all ages. 

 

Her accolades include the following:

· Basic Skills for Home Based Child Workers

· Thinking about the Early Child – Studies in Child Development &
Observation

· The 100 Languages of Children

· First Aid

 

Being an orphan herself, she had to grow up very quickly and take care of her younger brothers and sisters.  ‘My passion for kids started at a very young age,’ she smiles.  After a marketing job at Eskom, she knew there and then that corporate life was not for her. I love kids and I love to play!

 

Simangele has been working as a facilitator to assist day care centres get up and running, under the guidance of Carolyn Reid.  “Simangele has worked for me for 5 years and absolutely loves children - she goes the extra mile in all she does. She is honestly a real gem!” Says Carolyn.

 

Simangele is a mother of 4 and is thrilled to be starting this venture.  “I have prayed and believed for a long time that this opportunity would come along.  I cannot wait to meet the babies and grow Darling Day Moms.”
